Amy Lou Adams is an American actor whom has received praise for her portrayals of innocent and charming characters. Adams was raised in Italy as her father worked in the U.S. military and she was raised in Castle Rock Colorado as one of seven kids. The early 1990s were when Adams started dancing and performing professionally for Boulder's Dinner Theatre as well as the Country Dinner Playhouse. Later in Minnesota in a small local theatre, she was a cast as a character in a mock film documentary on beauty pageants called Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her screen debut was as a bright-eyed but sweet contestant. Then the move to Los Angeles in order to make a name for herself as an actress. She was in numerous acclaimed films in the next decade, including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) as well as Living It Up (a Martin and Lewis film from 1954).
