Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd began her journey in combat sports at the teenager age. In addition to BJJ training She also took classes in boxing, wrestling, and kickboxing. At age 18 years old, Ladd had her first appearance as an amateur in WCFC. Ladd built on this victory and began a 3 fight win streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents within the first round in each fight. Then, she returned to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia Babaeghian as well as Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9. Cynthia beat Aspen with a majority vote. The loss put a mark on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd recovered from the loss with a win over Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, bringing her record up to 8-1. Aspen was signed to Invicta FC in 2015 to begin her career in professional boxing. Invicta Fc 11 was her first fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the bout in the the first round via TKO. Invicta 16 saw her rise from Bantamweight to the fight against Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen employed her impressive wrestler skills to knock down McGill and ended her via the third round TKO(elbows and punches). Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18 in the weight class of catchweight(138.1lb) since Ladd was unable to reach the weight limit. Aspen dominated Hoy and finished her off in the second round via TKO. Invicta FC, 21 was her final promotion bout. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks won by unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut in UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She outclassed Lina through ground-and-pound and won the TKO round later in the 2nd. She continued to dominate and scored a more impressive win in her subsequent fight with Tonya Evinger at UFC 229 Ladd beat Evinger to the punch in the initial round, and earned a Performance of the Night bonus. The first big fight she fought in was in her next fight at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos vs. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in an Invicta FC rematch. Ladd's win was a majority decision as well as she was awarded the Fight of the Night award came to the two fighters. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd within 16 seconds, breaking her winning streak. Then she bounced back and defeated Yana Kunitskaya in the third round at UFC at ESPN 7. Her most recent bout for the UFC she took on Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 in a rematch fight. Her defeat was decided by majority verdict.
