Allison Pregler Bio

Allison Pregler is an avid film critic who reviews Z-graded films, mostly in the martial arts or horror genres. Her style and approach are very similar to The Cinema Snob. However, she tends towards stupid action movies and has a fascination with the morbid. The reviews began in the latter half of 2009, and after she gained some fame (under her old name, Obscurus-Lupa), Allison Pregler became part of Channel Awesome's family. Beginning in early 2015, she joined the website as Obscurus Lupa Presents evolved to Movie Nights. She also currently runs two podcasts through her channel that both cover the Charmed series and co-hosted with Phelous. After a controversial departure from Channel Awesome Allison officially announced on January 20th 2015 that she'd be revamping OLP into an impromptu review show called Movie Nights with an appropriately-shlocky elevator jazz theme. The videos are available here as well as here. Her videos on Twitter and Tumblr. Allison has got you wanting more? She can be seen kicking her thighs on the screen as Interpol Ninja Cheetah Lee on Ninja the Mission Force. Brad Jones' film Jesus Bro! also starred her. She also appeared as a guest star in Midnight Screenings is a regular occurrence. It reviews horrendous movies geared towards children, RiffTrax and live shows. It also occasionally features adult comedy. The first time she reviewed a film was the latter part of 2009. Her name gained lots of attention through her participation in the Channel Awesome forum before becoming part of their family. Her appearances have been in numerous Channel Awesome programs, from Atop the Fourth Wall and Phelous & the Movies to Atop the Fourth Wall. She along with Doug Walker were once members of Channel Awesome. They would frequently be featured in shows like Nostalgia Critic.
